Make an impression.

I will do some posts on the gear I'm gonna take with me. First things first. To give you all an impression about my travel adventures I will of course use a camera, because pictures are often most descriptive and nice to look at.

I will take a Nikon Coolpix S8000.

I like the photos it takes and that the camera is handy and light and its accu holds long. I can also record videos in good quality. The small flash light is hidden at the right top of the camera, so it is also possible to take pictures in the evening or whenever needed. I have bought a small bag for the camera to keep it safe and to hold extra memory cards should the 4 GB I use are full.

Expect more posts on gear about my backpack, travel journal, cloths and other things I will take with me. I also plan a summary about the things that were most useful to me and which I discarded while travelling.

5 weeks ...

in South East Asia. That's the plan. Actually by now it is more than a plan. The money is earned. The flights are booked. The vaccinations are shot. The gear is bought. And a rough itinerary is drawn.

I am headed to Thailand, Laos and Cambodia, leaving home on 6th November returning on 12th December. I am not going alone. My best friend and lover is going to be my companion.

I decided to start writing down everything about planning the trip, random thoughts and actual adventures in SEA. That is why I start this blog. I also do hope to get in contact with people who have experiences in travelling or probably to become a resource for people planning their own adventures.
